Israel-Palestine deadlock requires "compromise on both sides"

A path out of the current “political deadlock” between Israel and Palestine, requires “compromise, mutual respect and leadership on both sides.”
That’s according to UN chief Ban Ki-moon, briefing the Security Council on Monday on the situation in the Middle East.
The Secretary-General said that both “deeds as well as words” were needed to end a six-month surge in violence that was “triggered” by individual terrorist attacks by Palestinians.
