The intentional targeting of infrastructure is an “unacceptable reality” of war in Syria, according to the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

The supply of clean water to the northern city of Aleppo has just been reestablished after it was deliberately cut by one of the warring parties.

Two million people there have been drawing raw water from the Euphrates River to survive.

Kieran Dwyer is a spokesperson for UNICEF based in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
