There’s an opportunity for Africa to “open new avenues” at the COP21 climate change conference.
That’s according to Carlos Lopes, the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Africa, who’s in Paris hoping that the continent can help strike a historic deal for the world to limit carbon emissions.
He told Eleuterio Guevane, that at this halfway stage of the conference, Africa had already changed the terms of the debate.
