Electricity essential for live-saving health care

One of the key aims of the new development goals that have been agreed by the international community is to make sure that people across the world have access to energy.

In the health sector a stable electricity supply is essential to care for patients.

That’s according to Dr Laura Stachel, from the non-profit organization ‘We Care Solar’.

‘We Care Solar’ has been awarded a grant by the UN to fund development activities in energy for sustainable development.

Siobhán Garside asked Dr Stachel about her project – the Solar Suitcase.
