UK to assist Hazaras in Afghanistan – UN agency
The United Kingdom will give $6 million over the next four years to help some 430,000 farmers in one of the poorest regions of Afghanistan to establish and maintain a reliable system of sustainable agriculture, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) announced today.

The money will be spent on training, advice and seed production in the Hazarajat area north of Kabul, home of the ethnic Hazaras, FAO said in a statement issued in Rome.
The area, already under stress from civil war, has been hit hard by a three-year drought.
