A website has been launched this week to create links between the three million Ghanaians living abroad and their country’s development.

The http://www.ghanaiandiaspora.com/ was launched on Tuesday by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the government of Ghana.

The site launch coincided with the launch of a Diaspora Support Unit based at Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Users can contact the unit through the newly created website and sign up for a quarterly newsletter, the first issue of which is being released this month.

IOM spokesperson Jumbe Omari Jumbe tells Derrick Mbatha that the website is part of his agency’s effort to make migration beneficial for everyone.
