One Day After Peace is a film by Robi Damelin, an Israeli mother whose son was shot and killed some 10 years ago by a Palestinian sniper at a military checkpoint in the West Bank.

Instead of seeking revenge, Robi wrote to her son’s killer requesting to meet with him to begin a dialogue. The young Palestinian, who remains in an Israeli prison, refused.

At a UN screening of her movie, she tells UN Radio's Cristina Silveiro the story of her quest to understand what it would take to end the tragedy that is the conflict in the Middle East.

Cristina also spoke to Dr. Mohammed Abu-Nimer, a professor of peace and conflict resolution at American University in Washington DC who participated as one of the panelists at a showing of One Day After Peace.
