As the world continues to grapple with the socio-economic fallout from the pandemic and the ongoing impact of the war in Ukraine, the debate will be held fully in-person for the first time since 2019, with world leaders heading to NY to deliver their statements in the iconic Assembly Hall.

Yemen’s leader says peace is possible, but flow of arms and resources to Houthi militias must stop

Yemen has made compromises and worked hard to rebuild its country and regain the trust of its people, but the head of the Presidential Leadership Council on Thursday cautioned the international community that “dealing with Houthi militias as de facto authorities” would likely reverse hard-won gains and could turn Yemen into a hotspot to export terrorism worldwide.

At UN Assembly, Bosnia and Herzegovina slams ‘foreign influence’ on its institutions

Zeljko Komsic, the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, addressed the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, railing against the impact of larger countries’ allegedly selective and exploitative immigration policies, a government defined by ethnic divisions, and the intentional undermining of his nation’s stability by its “western and eastern neighbours.”
