Decisions made at this week’s UN Ocean Conference could chart the future for the next thousand years of ocean change.

That’s the enthusiastic view of one of the leading scientists who’s at UN Headquarters this week, marine biologist Douglas McCauley.

The Director of the University of California’s Benioff Ocean Initiative, says that despite the degradation of recent decades, he’s optimistic about what he calls the coming “underwater industrial revolution”.
