Transportation plays a critical role in a country’s development by facilitating the means for workers to get to their jobs and for goods to reach markets.

Yet, providing citizens with access to safe, affordable and efficient modes of transport remains a challenge for governments and the industry.

That’s according to international experts appointed by the UN Secretary-General to provide recommendations for more effective and healthier transport systems.
