Twenty-nine Ethiopian children who were among a group of 146 children abducted last month and taken to South Sudan have so far been released, the United Nations has reported.
The children were taken from Gambela in western Ethiopia after alleged cattle raiders from South Sudan crossed the border and attacked their villages.
The UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced on Friday that 10 children were freed over the past week, joining 19 others who were released earlier.
Some are as young as four months old.
