Decent jobs plan to be unveiled at UN Youth Forum

Young people will be making their voices heard in the global push to achieve the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the 2030 deadline, the UN Special Envoy on Youth has said.

Ahmad Alhendawi was previewing the two-day Youth Forum organized by the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) which opens this Monday in New York.

Among the outcomes will be the announcement of an initiative to promote decent jobs for young people worldwide, more than 70 million of whom are jobless, according to the International Labour Organization (ILO).
