Addressing gender gap could boost productivity of women farmers

Women farmers could be up to 25% more productive if they’re more rights to carry out their work.
That’s the view of the Assistant Secretary-General of UN Women.
Dr Yannick Glemarec said that climate change was a major threat to equal opportunities for men and women but establishing more climate-resilient crops represented a “huge development opportunity”.
Basma Baghall spoke to Dr Glemarec in Abu Dhabi, at the UN’s Women in Sustainabilty, Environment and Renewable Energy Forum.
