The ambitious global plan to better fulfil the needs of humanity while protecting the planet can be achieved within 15 years, according to a top UN official.

Wu Hongbo, UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, said he’s confident the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can reached by the 2030 target date.

All 193 countries that make up the UN are expected to adopt the anti-poverty measures at a summit in New York later this month.

Dianne Penn sat down with Mr Wu and began by asking him about the impact of SDGs on the United Nations work.
