The new global development agenda cannot become a reality if the generation it impacts is excluded from the process.

That’s according to 15-year-old Kehkashan Basu, former Global Coordinator for Children and Youth with the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).

She believes youth involvement can be increased if organisations embrace social media platforms to create awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) launching this year.

Siobhán Garside met with Ms Basu and asked her about her journey since starting as an eco-activist at the age of eight.
