One of the most successful African music artists in the last decade, Nigerian singer D’Banj, is using his star power to promote women’s empowerment.

A new series created by the World Bank called #Music4Dev welcomes artists from around the globe to share their music while raising awareness about development issues.

Through this platform, D’Banj says he is dedicating his new song ExtraOrdinary to all the strong and inspiring women of the world.

Korina Lopez spoke with the award-winning singer and began by asking him why he is so passionate about women’s rights and gender equality.
