Among the thousands of Syrian refugees who were forced by the conflict to flee their country to Iraq a year ago is a former grocery store owner, Shareef.

In Iraq, Shareef has opened a bakery which has become a successful business.

Iraq now has its own problems. Attacks by militants have forced thousands of Iraqis to flee their homes in the northern part of the country.

When Shareef heard about the new wave of displacement in August, he decided to help those in need by providing bread.
