The former Secretary of State for the United States, Hillary Clinton has committed to working with the United Nations to boost women’s empowerment ahead of the 2015 deadline for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Ms Clinton met the Secretary-General of the UN in New York to discuss women's equality and how to advance progress towards the MDGs.
