The largest ever appeal for funds for a humanitarian crisis is being launched by the United Nations ahead of a pledging conference for Syria, which gets underway on Wednesday.
The UN is asking for $6.5 billion for the more than 11 million people who have been affected by the ongoing civil war in Syria.
Jens Laerke, who is now in Kuwait, is a spokesperson for the UN humanitarian office (OCHA ).
Daniel Dickinson asked him what message the UN was taking to the conference.
