On February 14th, a billion people - men and women, across the globe are being urged to rise and dance together to end violence against women.

Eve Ensler, author of the famous Vagina Monologues, says the campaign, called ONE BILLION RISING, will be "the biggest global action in the history of humankind to end the violence”. “From the queen of the carnival in Rio de Janeiro and the queen mother of Bhutan, from prime ministers, nuns, zumba dancers, domestic workers, doctors and nurses, people around the world are joining the campaign”, she says, adding that “even women who have never danced before would literally be risking their lives to dance on February 14th.”
