Annan condemns deadly terror attack in Saudi Arabia

Kofi Annan
United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan today strongly denounced Saturday's deadly terrorist strike in Saudi Arabia.

“The Secretary-General is horrified by last night's attack against a residential compound in Riyad, Saudi Arabia, that reportedly killed at least 10 innocent people and injured many others,” a spokesman for Mr. Annan said in a statement. “He condemns this terrorist act in the strongest possible terms.”

Through his spokesman, Mr. Annan voiced confidence that Saudi Arabia “will bring to justice the perpetrators of this cowardly attack” and conveyed his condolences to the country and to the families of the victims.
