UN's primary reference book published for first time on CD-ROM

For the first time, the United Nations Yearbook - the primary comprehensive and authoritative reference book on the world body - has been published on CD-ROM.

Users of the two-disc set will now be able to access all 53 published volumes, covering 1946 to 1999, containing more than 59,000 pages of text and indices.

The collection features an index search, enabling uses to follow an issue across volumes and track the many fundamental changes that the UN has seen over the years. Full-text searches are also available.

The compilation, which will be updated annually, is available by subscription from the Publications Unit of the UN Department of Public Information.
