UN conducts staff survey in bid to gauge ethics
The Integrity Perception Survey is being administered by the consulting firm Deloitte, according to spokesperson Marie Okabe. It is considered an important part of the UN's Organizational Integrity Initiative, which was launched last year to strengthen awareness of professional ethics in the world body.
The survey aims to gauge staff perceptions of integrity within the Organization. Deloitte will prepare the results, which will serve as a basis for developing strategies and programmes to reinforce integrity and ethics within the UN Secretariat.
This initiative complements other efforts under Secretary-General Kofi Annan's reform programme to enhance overall performance and accountability in the Organization.
