Stop "fuelling fire" in Syria, says aid negotiator

The renewed interest of the United States in resolving the Syria conflict is to be welcomed but more countries with influence must stop “fuelling (the) fire”, a top UN humanitarian adviser said on Thursday.
Those comments, by UN Special Advisor Jan Egeland, followed a meeting of the Humanitarian Access Task Force in Geneva.
It convened two days after a suspected chemical attack that killed more than 70 people and which US President Donald Trump said had crossed “a lot of red lines”.
