UN chief António Guterres released emergency funds to help alleviate the suffering of people in Gaza on Wednesday, and appealed for unity between Palestinians.

The Secretary-General was speaking at a school run by the UN relief and works agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza, the narrow strip of land which is controlled by the militant group Hamas.
