UN chief says “no time for complacency” in global AIDS fight

There is no time for complacency” in the fight against AIDS, the UN Secretary-General warned in his latest report on halting and reversing the global epidemic.
Delegates at the UN General Assembly held a debate on Thursday on how to reinvigorate the international AIDS response in order to fulfill a promise to end the scourge by 2030.
According to UN estimates, more than 36.7 million people are living with HIV globally, while more than 18 million are on life-saving treatment.
