Countries worldwide are on an “unceasing march” towards a clean energy future, according to a senior official with the UN Foundation.
Peter Ogden is Vice President for Energy, Climate and the Environment at the Foundation, which works to broaden support for the UN.
He was also the Director of International Climate Policy under former US President Barack Obama.
Liz Scaffidi caught up with Mr Ogden at a Sustainable Energy for All Forum taking place this week in New York City.
She began by asking him to compare centralized power plants, which generate energy by burning fossil fuels, versus more modern energy sources such as solar and wind power.
