Switzerland is famous for many things but not big cats, so imagine the surprise when a spectacular jaguar was spotted in downtown Geneva on Wednesday.

The 10-metre long feline, which is in fact the handiwork of Brazilian artist Eduardo Srur, is on display to raise awareness of World Water Day 2017, marked on 22 March.

He explained to Daniel Johnson how drought in his country inspired him to use art in public settings, and why a jaguar drinking water, was so meaningful to Brazilians worldwide.
