Victims of dreadful sexual violence committed by ISIL extremists in Iraq need to see quicker action from the international justice system, a survivor-turned-campaigner has announced.
Nadia Murad, a member of Iraq’s Yazidi community whose women and girls were taken into slavery by ISIL two years ago, told a UN meeting that words alone will not help them.
