Investments which target the development of women and girls around the world are needed to break gender inequality and discrimination, according to the UN agency with deals with gender issues.

The international community is meeting in Ethiopia from Monday to discuss how best to finance future global development programmes.

Daniel Dickinson asked UN Women Deputy Executive Director, Lakshmi Puri, where the investment is expected to come from.
