Adolescents need to be better prepared in order to engage in safe sexual relations, according to the Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS, UNAIDS.

The agency reports that new HIV infections among adolescents are not declining as quickly as among other age groups.

The Deputy Executive Director of UNAIDS, Louis Loures, says this is due to society not wanting to face the reality that many teenagers are sexually active.

To address this problem, UNAIDS and its partners are launching a new initiative in Nairobi called “All IN” to encourage policy changes, and engage more youth in the effort.

Priscilla Lecomte began by asking Mr Loures about the importance of this campaign.
