Political tensions and civil unrest in the Central African Republic have created an environment that is making it difficult for people to find enough food to eat.

That’s according to the Crop and Food Security Assessment Mission (CFSAM) report issued by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Food Programme (WFP).

The country has been mired in conflict since December 2012 between militias from the Christian and Muslim communities which has displaced thousands of people and reduced agricultural production. .

Sandra Ferrari discussed the situation in the country with Alessandro Costantino from the FAO‘s Trade and Markets Division.
