The conflict that broke out in South Sudan between government and opposition forces in December 2013 continues to take its toll on innocent civilians.

The conflict has not only displaced thousands of people who have lost their homes and livelihoods, it has also robbed children of their childhood.

One of them is 17-year old Adut who lost her parents and has now taken on the role of mom and dad for her young siblings.

Edith Champagne reports.
