Global leaders and people across the world have a “tremendous appetite” to reach an agreement on climate change, according to the President of the UN General Assembly.

Sam Kutesa hailed the Assembly’s general debate, which touched on a number of global issues, including conflicts, the rise of terrorism and Ebola in West Africa.

Mr. Kutesa stressed that in tackling global crises such as terrorism and conflicts, there is need to have a “multilateral as opposed to unilateral approach”.
