A Syrian man who has been granted refugee status in Brazil says his “family has lost everything” in the civil war in the country.
The three-year conflict between the government and rebel forces has caused millions of people to flee.
Two and half million Syrians are now living outside the country, while six and a half million are displaced inside Syria.
Originally from Damascus, 26 year-old Majid Soufan, is now living in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
To mark World Refugee Day on June 2oth, Leda Letra spoke to him about life in his adopted country.
