The “deadly mix of recrimination, hate speech and revenge killings” in South Sudan that has developed relentlessly over the past four and half months seems to be reaching boiling point.”

This warning has come from the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay who is visiting the new African nation together with Adama Dieng, the UN Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide.

South Sudan is experiencing a deadly conflict between government forces and troops loyal to former Vice-President Riek Machar who was sacked by President Salvar Kiir in July last year.
