An inclusive reconciliation process between rival communities in the Central African Republic is underway according to an independent UN human rights expert.

Fighting between mainly Muslim and Christian communities has fuelled a conflict which began at the end of 2012.

Thousands of people are believed to have been killed, and over two million are in need of humanitarian aid.

The Independent Expert on the situation of human rights in the Central African Republic, Marie-Thérèse Keita Bocoum, has just finished her second mission to the country.

Jean-Pierre Ramazani began by asking her about a visit to the town of Bangassou, to the east of the capital, Bangui.
