Innovative approaches to getting more women into leadership positions around the world are being discussed at a conference being held at the United Nations on Wednesday.

Representatives from the UN as well as the public and private sectors are taking part in the “Power of Collaboration Summit” to discuss new ways to work together to accelerate the promotion of women.

It’s hoped the discussions will also strengthen the role of women in the debate on the Post-2015 Development Agenda in which the UN is currently engaged.

Daniel Dickinson spoke to Janet C. Salazar of Impact Leadership 21, the non-governmental organization that is organizing the conference.

He asked her what she expected the conference to achieve.
