Modern farming technologies have eased the burden of hard labour for many farmers worldwide.
However, many small scale farmers still lack the technology to efficiently grow and harvest their crops.
The UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) believes that up-to-date farming technologies are crucial to sustainable development and can make a significant contribution to feeding the world’s growing population.
Sandra Ferrari has been speaking to Josef Kienzle, an agricultural engineer at FAO.
