In some countries, people often think that they are at the mercy of corruption and that it’s “just a way of life”.

In observance of the International Anti-Corruption Day this 9 December, the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) are calling on ordinary citizens to say “No” to the crime.

Under the theme, “Zero Corruption, 100 per cent development”, the two UN agencies have developed a joint global campaign, focusing on how corruption hinders efforts to achieve the internationally agreed upon Millennium Development Goals.
