Kenya is recovering from a terrorist attack by Al-Shabaab Islamic insurgents at a shopping mall in the capital,Nairobi, more than a week ago.

That incident, in which more than 60 people were killed, came as Kenyan Vice President William Ruto was appearing before the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague for alleged crimes against humanity.

The terrorist attack in Nairobi prompted Vice President Ruto’s lawyer to ask for adjournment of the hearing so that the Kenyan leader could return home to deal with the situation.

So when Kenyan Foreign Minister Amina Mohamed came to UN headquarters for meetings recently, UN Radio’s Grece Kaneiya discussed these issues with her.

The Kenyan Foreign Minister first spoke about memorial services following the siege of the Westgate Mall.
