UN chief calls for bold action to achieve anti-poverty goals

[UN Photo/Devra Berkowitz][/caption]UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is calling for bold action from government and leaders around the world for the achievement of anti-poverty goals and clear progress on sustainability.

Mr. Ban has released a key report - ahead of a major meeting of world leaders at UN headquarters on 25 September on what needs to be done to accelerate efforts to meets the Millennium Development Goals by 2015 and also define a new universal development agenda beyond 2015.

The new report is titled “A Life of Dignity for All” and the person who worked very closely on it, Ms. Amina Mohamed, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advisor on Post-2015 Development Planning.
