World Blood Donor Day. [WHO Photo][/caption]The World Health Organization (WHO) is calling for more people to give the gift of life.

In a message marking World Blood Donor Day, observed this Friday, 14 June, WHO wants countries to strive to get 100 per cent of their supplies of blood and blood products from voluntary unpaid donors by 2020.
