The linkage between energy and water was the subject of discussion by the General Assembly on Thursday.

The Assembly held a thematic debate on “Sustainable Development and Climate Change: Practical Solutions in the Energy-Water Nexus.”

Participants included senior United Nations officials the world’s leading experts in sustainable development and climate change.

The meeting took place amidst continuing concern that sustainable development is threatened by climate change and global warming.
