According the World Health Organization, every 20 seconds somewhere in the world, someone is killed in a road traffic crash.

“Learning from the past” is the theme of this year’s World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, 18 November.

Etienne Krug, Chair of the UN Road Safety Collaboration, told Gerry Adams it is possible to reduce road deaths, if countries have the political will.
