Four peacekeepers killed in Darfur

Four peacekeepers of the joint African Union /United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) in Sudan have been killed.
On the evening of 2 October, members of the Nigerian contingent were on a military patrol near the regional headquarters of UNAMID when they were attacked by unknown assailants.
Several more peacekeepers were wounded in the attack which has been strongly condemned by UNAMID.
