In the wake of the global economic crisis, some countries implemented policies aimed at stimulating economic growth. However, these moves have not been successful in bringing about recovery.

The UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) recently released a report which explores the links between the global economy, income distribution, growth and development.

Dianne Penn sat down with Heiner Flassback, Director of the Division on Globalization and Development at UNCTAD in Geneva, who presented the report to diplomats at the United Nations in New York on Tuesday.
