Voluntary commitments by countries, corporations and citizens secure Rio+20 legacy

25 June 2012

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told the world that although the Rio+20 forum has ended, the work to bring about a sustainable planet was only just beginning.

The pledges, the largest of which total more than $513 billion, are in areas such as transport, energy, education and job creation. They also include countless volunteer hours.
