Each year, the UN Population Award is given to an individual(s) and/or institution(s) in recognition of outstanding contributions to increasing the awareness of population questions and to their solution.

This year’s winner in the institution category is the Federation of Reproductive Health Associations of Malaysia.

Gerry Adams spoke with two women who have been involved with the Federation for years, first Napsiah Omar, Chairman of the National Populations and Family Development Board and then the winner, Dr Mary Huang, Chairperson of the Federation.
