Five years ago, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution condemning attacks on journalists in conflict situations. 

At a panel discussion to mark World Press Freedom Day at the UN on Thursday, journalists and diplomats shared views on what has happened since the adoption of that resolution.   

For many of the participants, the news has been bleak.
